Fundamentals of Perinatal Harm Reduction, Part 3 @12PM HST

With the fall of Roe v. Wade and the persistence of War on Drugs-era policies, pregnancy and substance use will be increasingly criminalized.

Join the Washington AIDS Partnership and the Academy of Perinatal Harm Reduction for a three-part, virtual series on the necessity of integrating harm reduction services and reproductive health care. The topics of each of the three events are as follows:

  1. Wednesday, September 22nd, 6 PM:  Harm reduction strategies for pregnant people who use drugs, with an emphasis on alcohol, tobacco/nicotine, and opioids.

  2. Wednesday, September 29th, 6 PM: Trauma-informed care for pregnant people who use drugs.

  3. Wednesday, October 6th, 6 PM: Expanding the role that health professionals can play in preventing the criminalization of pregnant people who use drugs.
