A look at treatment barriers to Hepatitis C care at the state-level, review of trends over time, and discussion on advocating for eliminating treatment access restrictions
This month, HepVu will launch new data and interactive maps visualizing Hepatitis C treatment restrictions. Utilizing data from The Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at Harvard Law School (CHLPI) and the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR)’s Hepatitis C: The State of Medicaid Access report, new comparison map views will be available on HepVu for fibrosis restrictions by year from 2017 to 2021, sobriety restrictions by year from 2017 to 2021, and prescriber restrictions by year from 2017 to 2021.
Join HepVu, CHLPI, and NVHR on an upcoming webinar on May 19, at 3 pm ET to discuss policy and treatment restrictions as barriers to Hepatitis C care, background of analysis, changes and trends over time, the importance of removing restrictions, and prime examples of how these restrictions harm people, especially people living with substance use disorder and the ethical and moral dilemmas surrounding these practices.
