This session will be focused on The Mess in the Messaging with Meth. This session will be hosted by Robyn L. (CA) who will share on how she was asked to develop a training on addressing the misinformation & lack of information regarding Meth. The training is taking form based on the experience and education of practitioners who are providing direct services to participants who are using Meth.
We have missed the mark in identifying drug use as an equal epidemic providing services, treatment, advocacy and resources on the same scale regardless of substance. The goal of this training is to address the stigma in the messaging regarding Meth and provide information and education to undo the damage being done. Please come help shape this training so we can transform the way as practitioners are addressing the information we are sharing with participants and the community. The feedback provided from these sessions are so valuable to the work we are all doing.
