Effective Strategies for Harm Reduction and Syringe Services Programs @9AM HST

The second Community of Practice (CoP) in California Prevention Training Centerʻs (CAPTC) will explore effective trends for engaging the needs of PWID. It will also explore how health departments and other programs and organizations across the continuum of care can collaborate to develop effective pathways for PWID to access SSP services, optimize their chances to address their substance use dependency.

By the end of this three-session virtual series, attendees of the Syringe Service Program (SSP) CoP will be able to:

  • Identify 3 strategies for strengthening community engagement in SSP activities which support people who inject drugs (PWID)

  • Discuss 3 strategies for integrating diversion programs in syringe services programs

  • Describe 3 harm reduction strategies to ensure equitable access to SSP and other HIV prevention and care services for PWID
