Virtual Liver Cancer Tumor Board Discussion @ 7:30AM HST

Join us Tuesday, October 26 at 1:30 pm ET/10:30 am PT for a vibrant discussion with six medical experts discussing the complex challenges in providing treatment and care for those living with hepatocellular carcinoma. A live Q&A session will follow with speakers and the audience.

While there is no cost for the event, pre-registration is required for the event. The program will last approximately 2 hours.

About the Program

Once a person is diagnosed with a primary liver cancer their life is changed forever. Making treatment decisions is dependent upon the health of the liver and the location of the tumor(s) in the liver. As with all cancer diagnoses, there are a variety of treatment options available from different medical specialties.

For those struggling to find their “new normal” post cancer diagnosis, this can be extremely overwhelming and befuddling. Liver cancer centers of excellence around the world are actively working to ensure a multidisciplinary approach is used for liver cancer patient care, including engaging in various tumor review boards. GLI’s Virtual Liver Cancer Tumor Board Discussion will give the audience an insight into the complex discussions that take place with different medical professionals as doctors and patients work together to create a personalized treatment plan. GLI hopes that this demonstration will empower patients to seek a multi-disciplinary approach to tackling their liver cancer diagnosis.

Upon the program's completion, the audience will be asked to complete a post-program evaluation that will collect information about changes in their knowledge and satisfaction. This data will be aggregated, analyzed, and shared in the final #OctoberIs4Livers 2021 report.
