“World Hepatitis Day is a global initiative held on 28 July to raise awareness about hepatitis and its impact on millions of people.
Every year, 1.3 million people lose their lives to hepatitis – because they weren’t tested, or didn’t have access to treatment, or were never vaccinated. And new data from the World Health Organization shows the number of deaths is rising.
People living with hepatitis are still not being heard or getting the resources they need, despite the global scale of the problem. There is no time to waste. Leaders, politicians, doctors and communities must act now.
Join our webinar next Friday, as we introduce this year's new theme – ‘It’s time for action’ – and share the materials and resources available on the website, as well as all the different ways you can take action on 28 July!”
