“More than 300 million people are living with hepatitis worldwide, but most people don’t know they have it. Only 13% of people living with hepatitis B and 36% with hepatitis C have been diagnosed, and for most testing remains beyond reach. If we are to achieve the 2030 hepatitis elimination goals, it is critical that we expand access to testing for hepatitis. To shine a light on the importance of the need to scale up testing, the first World Hepatitis Testing Week will be held from 18 to 24 November. To begin World Hepatitis Testing Week, the World Hepatitis Alliance and the World Health Organization are co-chairing this webinar to explore different strategies for scaling up testing with a multi-stakeholder panel.”
