The Aloha Pediatric Infectious Diseases Conference is an annual educational event that highlights current topics of interest for those caring for pediatric patients. In this current COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to offer a virtual conference for the first time in 2021.
This conference will focus on updates for Pediatric Infectious Diseases issues affecting the keiki of Hawai'i. We will provide an overview of COVID-19 Vaccines, public health perspectives of pediatric COVID-19, masking and Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) associated with COVID-19. In addition, updates of Staphylococcal aureus infections and use of prophylactic antibiotics in children will be presented.
We welcome pediatric physicians, family medicine physicians, pediatric and adult infectious diseases specialists, nurses, pharmacists, residents, medical students and graduate students, pre-medical students and other allied health professionals with an interest in pediatric infectious diseases.
