2020 HFH Hero Award

Here’s to our latest hero! We are proud to announce that the 2020 Hep Free Hawaii Hero Award goes to PaijBritt Emmanuel! (Read press release).

We recognize her tireless efforts to increase of hepatitis C treatment access for syringe exchange participants and people who use drugs in Hawai`i. Through the years, we have been honored to watch Paij blossom in her advocacy as a person with lived experience. Not only has she shared her story locally (watch her video on Youtube), but she has also spoken at national conferences and convenings.
