Local Storyteller Featured Nationally

For Hepatitis Awareness Month, our partners at the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) sat down with Richard Smith, our very own patient advocate at Hep Free Hawai’i, to hear about his experience living with hepatitis B. He has managed his own diagnosis and treatment while supporting his mother and aunt who are also living with hep B. Richard encourages people with lived experience to make their voices heard to correct misinformation and stigma around HBV.
