Simplified HCV Treatment and Minimal Monitoring for People Experience Houseleness @10AM HST

HCV is prevalent among people experiencing homelessness (PEH), particularly among people who inject drugs (PWID). Fortunately HCV is easy to treat with multiple treatment options recommended by the simplified HCV guidelines. Clinicians, however, lack familiarity with these guidelines, eligible populations, and monitoring requirements for PEH with HCV. In this 1-hour webinar, Dr. Stacey Trooskin and Dr. Arsalan Shah will discuss simplified guidelines and eligible populations (including PWID and PEH), as well as monitoring requirements and strategies to optimize adherence among this population. Clinic models of colocalized HCV and substance use disorder treatment services will be discussed.
