In November 2024, Dr. Naoky Tsai published an editorial calling for state and community partners to eliminate hepatitis C. Even though the disease is preventable and curable, Dr. Tsai listed several barries to address in the near future:

  • Lack of knowledge about impact and cure;

  • Lack of resources for screening and linkage to care;

  • Disparities among communities most exposed to hepatitis C.
